Matt Walker

Liz Stringer

Singer, guitarist.

Liz Stringer is one of Australia’s most respected singer-songwriters, always simmering, always producing something, whether it be an intimate solo record or a rollicking band album, sometimes recalling a Chrissie Hynde-like balance of unsettling lyrical directness and pop composure. Her voice is soulful and feisty, her novella-like lyrics visceral, yet poetic.

At sixteen she left Melbourne and went to Germany, started a band and recorded her first demo. She returned to Melbourne, went to her local high school, and began to write more and more songs.

Bruce Haymes

Music Director, keyboards, singer.

Paul Stewart

Fearless Voices 'Shouter'

Paul Stewart is best known as the flamboyant frontman of the rock band Painters and Dockers, but a near-death experience inspired him to dedicate his life to helping young people at risk.

After decades of embracing the rock and roll lifestyle, Stewart suddenly found himself in desperate need of a new liver. After 18 months of waiting for a compatible liver, a priest came and read his last rites.

Stuart Grant

Fearless Voices 'Shouter'

Dr Stuart Grant is old enough to know better but too stupid to listen.

He is the singer/guitarist with noisepunk legends The Primitive Calculators ( Pumping Ugly Muscle, Do That Dance). Filmmaker Richard Lowenstein included the Primitive Calculators in his 1986 film Dogs In Space, which was based on the Little Bands scene they had created.

He has also performed with lounge stylists Mr Bum & Ruby, cabaret auteurs Ski Low Low & soul mavens the Hard Word.
