Complicit
Special fundraiser screening of the investigative documentary Complicit. We'll be joined on the night by our President, Jessie Taylor, and the Human Rights Law Centre's Keren Adams who will give a brief introduction to the film and speak about business and human rights.
Shot under cover, Complicit follows the journey of factory migrant worker-turned-activist Yi Yeting, who takes on the global electronic industry and its blatant disregard for workers' rights. The film follows Yeting's journey and provides new insights into the horrific human rights abuses in global supply chains. The film is a damning portrait of business and human rights, but it is also the call to arms and a story of a movement fighting back.
Keren Adams has a wealth of experience in human rights and corporate accountability. She has litigated landmark cases that have held multinational businesses to account and currently heads up the HRLC's work on business and human rights.
All money raised from the screening will go towards continuing the important work of Liberty Victoria and Rights Advocacy Project.
