Electronic tag plan for travellers as shift from hotel quarantine considered

The Andrews government is examining scaling back the botched hotel quarantine program and using electronic monitoring devices for some returned travellers when Victoria opens up to international flights for the first time since early July.

Liberty Victoria president Julian Burnside said monitoring returned travellers in their homes would be better than quarantining them in hotels.
